Hi, I’m Steven,
Artist, collector, creative builder, and founder of Tekle & Co. LLC.
Born in Austin and raised in Houston, I started drawing in elementary school, inspired by my mother’s love for art. By the time I reached high school, my work was featured in the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. But like many creatives, I took a detour life, work, and the day-to-day took over. In 2020, I found my way back to the canvas, and that moment changed everything.

My style is rooted in acrylic painting, digital design, and storytelling through bold, expressive characters. That includes my signature series, Janky Jiraffes a collection of giraffe characters with unique wigs, color palettes, and personalities, created to celebrate identity, joy, and self-expression.

Through Tekle & Co., I now get to do what I love: make art, create experiences, and help others bring their visions to life with heart, humor, and a little bit of sparkle.
